GROUNDING - Simple and Effective

Grounding is not woo woo; it is something which can help you quickly and easily if you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed or anxious. If you don't believe me - just try it!
Here is your 30 second reset:
Close your eyes for five seconds and try to think of absolutely nothing. Think of it as you have been carrying heavy bags and...just put them down.
Unclench your jaw and let your tongue float in your mouth.
Drop your shoulders, feeling them relax away from your ears.
Ask yourself - which part of my body is demanding my attention the loudest right now? (It may be your tense neck, your heart threatening to leap out your chest, or your tired aching eyes.)
Breathe into that area three times and tell your body to relax and let go.
Be still and close your eyes for another five seconds, pause, breathe and tell yourself gently with as much love as you can again to relax and let go.
By doing this, you aren't just 'thinking' calm—you are physically signalling your parasympathetic nervous system to take the wheel. Think of it as your body’s natural 'rest and digest' response, acting like a brake pedal to the stress you are currently feeling.
